Kozo-Ganryosome-shi is a native Tosa paper handmade by Mr. Haruhiko Tamura who, under Japanese law, has been designated a "Living National Treasure" for his production of this traditionally handmade art paper.
Using the purest kozo (mulberry) fibers, first, the white sheets of paper are formed following a 1500-year old tradition of Japanese hand-papermaking. After the sheets are dried, each sheet is dyed with pigments. The pigments are not only rich and beautiful, but light-fast as well.
This paper is used for covering books, boxes, making collage and for matting in picture-framing.
Package contains ten 9 1/2" x 12 1/2" sheets.
