From the "National Treasure" Collection
Unryu Ganryosome-shi is a fibrous paper specially handmade by Mr. Minoru Ikeda who, under Japanese law, has been designated a "Living National Treasure" for his production of this traditionally handmade art paper.

Using a 1500-year old tradition of Japanese hand-papermaking, long, unbeaten kozo (mulberry) fibers are added to the vat of papermaking slurry. The long fibers are evenly distributed over the sheet, creating a cloud-like image, thus, the name "Unryu", which means "cloud dragon". After the sheets are dried, each sheet is dyed using light-fast pigments.

This paper is wonderful for layering in collage, decoupage, bookmaking, and matting.

Package contains ten 9 1/2"x 9 1/4" sheets.
