| The tradition of handmade paper began in Anhui Province, China in about 800A.D. and is now valued as a National Treasure of China. Without the invention of the pure, typically white, moth-resistant Xuan paper, the Chinese people would be without the ideal surface to express themselves in poetry and painting.
Paper Connection's An-Jing Paper, Xuan Paper from Jing Xian County of Anhui Province, has been hand-produced for over 1000 years. These papers are made from bast fibers, such as blue sandalwood, mulberry , hemp and dragon whisker grass.
